I’ve added Cloud Flow Viewer tool to my hobby project JayVish

Problem Statement:

Let’s say you’ve received a Dataverse solution—managed or unmanaged—either from a colleague or from a Open Source GitHub project (Example : Copilot Studio Kit). The solution contains several Power Automate cloud flows, and you want to quickly understand:

  • How many flows are Automated, Manual, or Scheduled?
  • For Automated flows, what are the associated tables and trigger events?
  • For Scheduled flows, what is their execution cadence?

One way to get these details is by opening each flow individually in the Flow Designer and inspecting the trigger.

The second option is the Cloud Flow Viewer tool, which is the focus of this blog post. This tool lets you view all flow details in one place and filter them by category, trigger type, and more.

Lets learn how to use the Cloud Flow Viewer tool.

Using the ‘Cloud Flow Viewer’:

  • Navigate to the Cloud Flow Viewer
  • Upload a Dataverse solution. Both Managed and Unmanaged solution types are supported.
  • Once you upload the solution, the UI looks as below.
  • Now, click on Analyze button.
  • The tool will list all the flows included in the solution.
  • You can then apply filters based on table name, flow type, and more.
  • Example 1: Filter to show only Automated flows.
  • Example 2: Filter to show only Scheduled flows.

Please explore the tool and share your feedback!
